I just created a very colorful ~*WordArt*~ that states the scope of work of both the Civil Engineering and Architecture. Just by that I could say that both are very different.
Then there is this new Civil Engineering Law that overlaps with the scope of work of Architects. Honestly, Architects are not trained enough to do some structural works and Civil Engineers are not trained to optimize the use of space, the air and the lighting. With this, in my opinion, Engineers should not sign Architectural Plans.
I am a Civil Engineering student but I don’t like expanding the scope of work of the Civil Engineering. The stress and pressure we have to cope with throughout our life are enough already. Adding space, light and sound is more stress to deal with for us.
When I said this, Architects should not worry about us getting the Architectural plans. Architects and Civil Engineers should be friends, right?
i wish, all the Civil Engineers have the same feeling, like him/her!!!! because we have different specialties in this industry.
